The Miss Louisa Organization is a nonprofit organization that believes in the mission and values of the Miss America Organization (MAO). Through partnerships with generous sponsors and scholarship donors, our goal is to provide young women with opportunities to grow, lead, and achieve their dreams. We are committed to personal development, supporting higher education, and encouraging participants to become fearless advocates for causes that inspire them while making a difference in their communities.
Beginning in 2024, the Miss Louisa Organization will host a competition to crown exceptional “Miss” and “Teen” titleholders who will proudly represent Louisa County and Hanover County as Miss Louisa County, Miss Louisa County's Teen, Miss Hanover County and Miss Hanover County's Teen at the Miss Virginia and Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen Competitions. Our organization provides unwavering support to our titleholders, assisting them in developing their public speaking, community service initiatives, and competition preparation. We are proud to help them build the skills and confidence needed to excel at the state level and beyond.
As a proud member of the Miss Virginia/Miss America family, the Miss Louisa Organization is committed to empowering young women to lead with purpose. The MAO is one of the nation’s largest providers of scholarships for young women, especially those pursuing education in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Beyond scholarships, the Miss America program emphasizes the importance of community involvement, service, and using one’s voice to bring awareness to critical social issues. Through this program, we strive to inspire the next generation of leaders to embody intelligence, talent, confidence, and compassion.
After decades of competing in local and state pageant systems, including representing Louisa in the Miss Virginia pageant as Miss Louisa County, Casey is dedicating time to mentoring young women and promoting community engagement.
Casey works full-time as the corporate spokesperson and Managing Director – Communications & Public Relations at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC), where she leads communications and corporate citizenship initiatives, which include robust media relations, community engagement, brand management and content curation for over a dozen communication channels (and growing). Casey leads an award-winning team recognized as a nationwide leader in the energy sector. She is also actively involved in numerous community organizations. She serves as the Board Chair for the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce and Louisa Forward Foundation, Board member for the Montpelier Center for Arts & Education, co-founder and committee member for Leadership Louisa, a volunteer with Lake Anna Rescue, Inc., and chairperson for the Lake Anna Rescue Lifesavers Challenge annual fundraiser. Casey is also the Executive Director for the Miss Lake Anna pageant, which started as a fundraiser for Lake Anna Rescue, Inc.
A proud graduate of Hollins University with a degree in English/Creative Writing, Casey is passionate about her community and making a difference in the lives of others. She grew up in Louisa County, where she still resides with her husband, three sons, four dogs, five cats, and six chickens. As a family they enjoy cooking together, gardening, fishing and spending time outdoors - particularly hiking the beautiful Virginia mountains or spending long days at the beach.
Running a local scholarship competition in the Miss Virginia and Miss America System is truly a labor of love. We are seeking more volunteers to join our Board of Directors. To join us in making a difference, please complete the application.
